I believe everything happens for a reason — both the good and the difficult moments in life. A few months after beginning my writing journey, I found myself holding a manuscript. Was it any good? I honestly didn’t know. What I did know was that I had discovered something inside myself that I could not ignore. I was determined to continue.

I decided to test the waters. After some diligent promotion, I discovered that the story had connected with readers, and that encouragement gave me the confidence to continue the journey.

The second book, In Search of the Ruby Rainbow, opened the door to an even greater adventure. A world of queens, chancellors, elves and merfolk emerged. Of course, every great fantasy story needs an antagonist, and mine arrived in the form of the Grand Wizard of Balthazar. The name sounded exotic, but more importantly, the character fitted perfectly into the balance and dynamics of the story.

From there, the universe continued to expand.

What began as a single magical piano evolved into a world that explored not only different places, but different times in history, different worlds, different universes and even different eons.

Looking back now, I can see that the worlds I have created are connected by common threads. Characters, events and mythology weave through these universes, creating links between them while allowing each world to retain its own identity.

The Tales of the Magic Piano

The Magic Piano universe remains at the heart of my writing journey. What began with a single piano floating through the sky has grown into an epic adventure spanning generations, worlds and galaxies.

The series will eventually consist of eight books, with The Relic of Scarthorne waiting as the next chapter in the journey.

Music has always been central to this universe. It is more than a background element — it is a force capable of inspiring, connecting and transporting people beyond the boundaries of ordinary life.

Zorn, Hunter and Warrior

Alongside the Magic Piano series, another universe began to emerge: Zorn, Hunter and Warrior.

Set among distant worlds and civilisations, this series explores courage, conflict, honour and survival. Although it exists as its own universe, it connects with my broader mythology through shared ideas, characters and ancient mysteries.

I have completed three books in the Zorn series, and I believe they represent some of my strongest work. There may even be another adventure waiting in this universe if time allows.

The Mystical Book of Om

The Mystical Book of Om is a world unto itself, yet it resides within the same mystical fantasy landscape that connects many of my stories.

It explores mystery, imagination and discovery, offering another doorway into the vast creative universe that continues to grow around my writing.

The Miraculous, Spectaculous Courtyard Pond

Another world very close to my heart is The Miraculous, Spectaculous Courtyard Pond.

Within the waters of this magical pond exists an entire universe of life. Frogs, fish, eels, crabs and turtles all compete, cooperate and experience their own adventures. Above the pond, creatures great and small influence the lives within it. Crickets, bees, ants, butterflies, dragonflies and beetles all have stories to tell and songs to sing.

Larger creatures also play their part. The Wise Council of the Owls, along with Ernie and Bert, two Australian eagles, bring humour, wisdom and humility to the stories.

The pond is a microcosm of life itself — expressed with boundless energy, imagination and joy.

Music plays an important role throughout my writing. The songs are not simply additions to the stories; they give characters their own voices and personalities. They help bring these worlds to life and create a reading experience that goes beyond words alone.

These are the worlds I have created so far.

But like any living garden, they continue to grow.
